HEAT! 0

TUESDAY 12/29/09:

The party relief efforts continue to help avoid the apocalyptic disaster of boredom. Tonight the relief efforts were held at Heat. Yall already know if its Tuesday night, it’s going down at Heat. Heat Tuesday has definitely been one of my babies as far as clubs are concerned. It was the first real 21+ event that Spots jumped into and really popped off. I’m about there was never a Tuesday night full-on CLUB in OC, and we made that shit jump off.

We been there over a year now, and it’s amazing to see that things have still been moving! This week Joraynee came down for the holidays. Joraynee is a brother to me and most importantly is my best friend. We used to run all through LA & Hollywood before he moved out to SF. You needa move back home homie!

Lani came through and we got up with Eric (PTA) & Khai and the rest of the gang.

DJ Ever came through reppin’ the home town love!

Told ya, no normal pictures of Eric.

Parking lot pimp nation.

I was kind of too fucked up tonight to take that many pictures, somehow the last thing I remember was laying on the truck bed of my boy’s Avalanche in the parking lot. ahahaha

PARTY ALL THE TIME 0

SATURDAY 12/26/09:

Ever since my Birthday passed in November there has been nothing short but a tidal wave of partying. At the forefront of this disastrous nightlife storm has been my sidekick Lani. Most of the time I don’t even want to go out, but I have to accompany her to ensure that she comes home alive.

Eric (PTA) has also been on many partying efforts since my bday. I don’t think I’ve taken a normal picture of him yet, but I’m going to get one one day!

We started the night at Opera. It’s kind of funny that the security and staff all know me there now, and then ended the night at Playhouse. It was my first time at Playhouse and shit was definitely cracking!

MAESTRO KNOWS 0

I first heard about this dude Maestro back when the Yeezys were about to drop. Everyone was trying to get a pair and out of nowhere this kid is rocking Yeezys on the blacktop trying see whether or not it can make him dunk any better. Like “What?? Who is this?!?”

Anyway, he’s apparently a dope skateboard filmer or something and drops these little webisodes of his own show through his website MAESTRO KNOWS. He rubs elbows with a lot of interesting folks. In this episode he gets up with Ibn Jasper (you might know him as Kanye’s personal barber) at Venice Beach Skate Park and flies out to Chi-Town for Ibn’s fitted release with Quintin at RSVP gallery.

Pretty dope, peep it!

CRIMSON CHRISTMAS 0

I’ve been promoting clubs for since I got out of High School and it’s been one hell of a ride so far! I’ve met a lot of great people, made incredible friends and have gotten so many opportunities because of my experiences in the night club scene. I figured that it was only right to band together with some my closest promoter colleagues and try to shake things up a bit!

Last Sunday I threw my first Hollywood event outside of Spots. I teamed up with my brother from another mother, Chris Cruz, and my boy Myster-E. If you read my blog then you are well aware of who Chris is, but you might not be familiar with my boy E. Myster-E, or E for short, is one of Hollywood’s illest DJ’s. His crew Crowd Control houses some of SoCal’s illest DJ talent. He’s also been in the promo game since before he could get his driver’s permit! It’s only natural that we joined forces. This was our first event together and I must admit it was a smash!

We’ll be hosting more parties in Hollywood in the future. Most likely once a month, and also with our team’s 4th member, my other brother Tom Ngo. Expect nothing except good times and hangovers the next morning from us!

Here’s some coverage from our Crimson Christmas last Sunday. You can catch the full coverage on E’s site here: DJMyster-E.com Crimson Christmas Event Coverage.

ORISUE POP-UP SHOP 0

TUESDAY 12/22/2009:

Tuesday we kicked off Orisue’s first ever Pop-Up Shop over at AK1511 in Venice Beach. The Shop is smack dab in the heart of Venice Beach and the location is off the chain! The opportunity for the shop came about real quick and we had to act fast. We set up the shop and opening party in less than 3 weeks!

The space was offered to S.L.A.T.E. brands only, and we were fortunate enough to be the first apparel brand invited. We share the space with our good friends at 9Five Eyewear, Aerial7 Headphones and WeArePlus.

BURRRR-RAAT! ORISUE! We’ve arrived y’all!

The bar was fully stocked with Belvedere, Corona & AMP Energy Drinks!

DJ Ayla Simone started off the night was an ill hip-hop set, which was really surprising when I first heard of her as a house/electro DJ.

Aerial7 shares the Pop-Up Shop with us with their line of headphones.

9Five holds the shop down with their ill sunglasses. Wattup Metcalf! The lovely bartenders were stuntin’ all night with their 9Five’s.

My good friend Carl was kind enough to come out and attend our opening. Carl’s been a friend of Allen and mine for quite some time now, and I got to admit he never ceases to amaze me with the things he does. 2010 is looking HUGE! Shout out to his lovely date Roberta who also made the trek all the way out from the OC!

O-Team famo! DJ Ever & Fashawn.

Michael is the captain of the fashion police, watch out! Violators will be ticketed!

U-N-I blessed the Shop with a short set previewing some joints off A Love Supreme 2.0. Keep a look out for that, it’s coming soon! Big up to SourMilk who subbed in as U-N-I’s DJ for the night.

Y-O was stuntin’ with the exact same fit that I had on! haha we gotta do the mandatory wardrobe check next time around!

A BIG thank to Ryan, Rachel, PGW, In-House and the staff at AK1511!!

Happy Holidays to all!
